Irish Repertory Theatre, "New York’s finest Off-Broadway theatre” (Terry Teachout, The Wall Street Journal) is an award-winning two-staged theatre located in New York City, producing a year-round season of Irish and Irish-American works. In 1995, Irish Rep found its home at 132 W 22nd Street, on three floors of a former warehouse. With help from friends and family, Charlotte and Ciarán built the t

heatre from the ground up, creating two performance spaces: The Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage and The W. The space was renovated to its current design in 2016. In its more than 31 seasons, Irish Repertory Theatre has presented over 190 productions and worked with more than 500 company members. Irish Rep has continued to be a home for Irish and Irish-American theatre-makers, theatre audiences, and excellence in theatre. More than 50,000 audience members annually attend productions where they experience the company’s engaging perspective on the Irish and their unique and extraordinary contributions to the world of drama. Irish Repertory Theatre is the only year-round theater company in New York City devoted exclusively to bringing Irish and Irish-American works to the stage. In 2019, Irish Rep was named Company of the Year by the Wall Street Journal. Learn more at irishrep.org

This June 16 marks the day Leopold Bloom wandered the streets of Dublin in James Joyce’s ULYSSES. Today, we tip the bowler hat to Joyce and to the enduring power of Irish storytelling — onstage and off.

In honor of the day, we’re looking back on images from last fall’s unforgettable Dublin theatre trip, where Joyce’s spirit seemed to linger around every corner. As serendipity would have it, today is also the birthday of our very own Joycean and trip organizer, Anna Collins — happy Bloomsday and happy birthday, Anna! ☘️📚

The 2025 Dublin Theatre Tour is fully booked. Join the waitlist or register your interest for future tours here: https://irishrep.wufoo.com/forms/travel-with-irish-rep-interest/

Here’s to good company and great stories — yes, yes, yes.

To say our feet still haven’t touched the ground since Monday night would be an understatement! Our star-studded lineup brought the house down with unforgettable renditions of Van Morrison classics.

Our orchestra and chorus, under the impeccable direction of John Bell, were flawless. Our founders, Charlotte Moore and Ciarán O’Reilly, entertained us, and our board chair, Kathleen Begala, inspired us with her words. A heartfelt thank you to this year’s honoree, John Gardiner, whose support brought such positive energy to the night.

And thank you to every audience member and supporter who helped make our biggest fundraiser of the year such a success.
