Smoking Mirror Theatre Company is launching a bi-weekly discussion group delving into the Bard’s timeless works. Together, we’ll explore the depths of meaning embedded in Shakespeare’s plays — profound, surprising, and inspiring insights that feel more relevant than ever today. ✨

Each show has had a full audience, from which the feedback was phenomenal, and we’ve had fantastic reviews too from theatre reviewers. Just amazing!

A huge thank you to our audiences and everyone that has supported us with this production.

“First off, I have a deep love for any production where most of the cast plays more than one character. It takes so much trust—trusting the audience will believe us, and trust in each other to all be 100% in on telling the same story. You really all have to show up to the world you’ve built together, and be earnest even in the ridiculous moments, which is a difficult balance to strike. I might find this more beautiful than anything in the world and I am so so grateful for live, collaborative theatre! I’m also really excited to be a representative for the people amongst a whole lot of nobility and royalty. It’s so easy to get swept up in the games they play and forget about the many people offstage who are affected.”

“There is something so heartbreaking about the way in which Shakespeare writes children thrust into the tragedy of other people’s games. I’m ecstatic to get to dive into who Arthur is in this world of conniving adults and what it means to lose your childhood at such a young age. As for Faulconbridge and Melun, I’m excited to explore new accents and convictions.”
