Fiterman Hall was one of the few building outside the World Trade Center complex to be destroyed by the falling Twin Towers on 9/11. Over 1000 students were present. The building was owned by the City University of New York’s Borough of Manhattan Community College and was rebuilt a decade later.

Photos of NYC streets covered in dust following twin towers collapse.
So my original plan was actually just to show photos specifically by a guy named Stan Honda but I decided just to post several photos of the dust-covered streets following the collapse of the World Trade Center on September 11th, 2001.

These pictures as such are photos by several different people on that day, including one by Stan Honda showing the African-American woman covered in dust as I think she is called something like the "dust lady" I don't know for certain as I would have to look it up. Anyway, here are all these photos.

May the victims of September 11th, 2001 rest in peace. Amen.

Christopher Lunder was full of life and loved to entertain at home. He loved to barbecue and invite friends and co-workers to his home that he converted to a Backyard-BBQ Central. On 9/11 he sent his wife an email saying, "I'm ok, no phones, we got hit by a plane. I love you." Christopher was 34.
Christopher E. Lunder was a Bond Broker for Cantor Fitzgerald (The floor that Christopher was on at the time of the attacks is unknown) which was located inside of the North Tower. Christopher was born in Queens, New York and resided in Manasquan, New Jersey. Saturday, June 10, 1967—Tuesday, September 11, 2001. 34 years, 3 months, and 1 day. 411 months, 1 day. A total of 12,512 days of life.
"Christopher Lunder found cause for celebration in life itself, so much so that with the strong encouragement of his wife, Karen, he converted their home in Manasquan, N.J., into Backyard-Barbecue Central. He babied the propane- gas grill. He built the pond and stocked it with large goldfish. He even designed the built-in pool.

Friends would come to join in the celebration, so many friends: from high school on Long Island, from college in Florida, from Cantor Fitzgerald, where he worked as a bond broker ‹ all mingling together at the home dubbed "Club Lunder."

"Now they're all friends," Karen Lunder said. "He just loved to entertain."

Last summer he renewed his commitment to fun by buying a 37-foot boat. It was christened "KC," an appropriate name given that Karen and Christopher had been together for so long, with a decade-long courtship and the wedding in 1997. The boat's potential for entertainment ‹ treating clients to rides, commuting on summer weekends with Karen ‹ was only just beginning to be explored. "He worked hard, he played hard, he liked the best of the best ‹ and he was so cute." Karen Lunder said. Between sobs she added: "And he left me with a beautiful place."

Shevonne Mentis came to the USA from Guyana in 1999. She was enrolled in the Borough of Manhattan Community College. Her dream was to obtain a degree in business Management. She was an excellent cook and loved going to church. She was also thoughtful and had a great sense of humor. Shevonne was 25.

"At an age when most girls are focused on boys and lip gloss, 17-year-old Shevonne Mentis had not only decided that she wanted to go into business for herself, she had also opened her own grocery.

It was called Shevonne's Super Center. And from opening day, it was the talk of the little seaside town of Vryheid's Lust, Guyana. "Everybody in the neighborhood thought it was strange, a girl running a store," said her longtime boyfriend, Gary Garroway. "All the other shop owners were 45, 50 years old. But people kept pouring in."

She also ran a fleet of taxis. Mr. Garroway said she succeeded in business through a combination of toughness and sweets. "She was very strict, very formal about getting things done," he said. "But she had a very good relationship with children. She kept a wide range of confectionery, and the children would always come in after school."

In 1999, after six years at the helm of the Super Center, Ms. Mentis left her boyfriend in charge, joined her family in Bedford- Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, and enrolled in a business management program at Borough of Manhattan Community College. She worked days as a clerk for a division of Marsh & McLennan to pay her tuition. Last Thursday, she would have been 26. Mr. Garroway closed Shevonne's Super Center to come to New York and attend her memorial, but promised that it would reopen soon. "We want that name to live on," he said."
