Debuting in the summer of 2017, the National Youth Orchestra of China (NYO-China) will bring together 100 of China's finest young orchestral musicians for the experience of a lifetime. In July, musicians selected through an online audition process will come together in the United States for two weeks of rehearsals, sectionals, and more. They will debut in Carnegie Hall on July 22 (just one day aft
er NYO-USA's July 21 concert!) and then embark on a week-long concert tour of China. 15 teaching artists, who will lead sectionals and mentor the students, have been chosen from top orchestra around the world. The students will receive additional guidance from resident advisors drawn from top music conservatories. The members of NYO-China will be empowered to not only refine their musical talent with the help of masters in the field, but also to to become cultural ambassadors on a global stage.
