We are beyond thrilled to announce our flagship show, Anti-Gone, is going on a Northeast tour this fall. 🗺 Starting with a "preview" performance at The Rat NYC, a run at ESL Rochester Fringe Festival's biltmoreroc, and ending with our PA premiere at Scranton Fringe's Electric City Trolley Museum 🐀🪻🚃 In Anti-Gone YOU get to choose how the show ends, and we can't wait to see what wonderful new ideas we'll meet on the road 💛

Anti-Gone is a daring adaptation of the beloved classic. Audiences take action to determine the outcome of the thrilling drama, utilizing the most popular invention of Ancient Greece - the democratic vote. Is a happy ending for Antigone's story possible? Will we be able to find what has not been found in 2,500 years- a solution? "Giving Antigone a sense of possibility after all this time".

HAPPY WORLD FRINGE DAY! 🎭🌷☀️

Here on team 🏛Anti-Gone🏛, we are incredibly proud to be a part of the global Fringe movement. Fringe has brought dear friends and collaborators into our lives, introduced us to the most brilliant art we've ever seen and helped us spread our message of civic engagement to an astounding variety of people 🫂

Happy (?) Father's Day from the mythological "father earth"- Geb 🌿🐌🪵

If there's one God in Egyptian mythology who can't catch a break, it's definitely Geb. Not only is he part of the generation skipped by the royal lineage, he is forever punished to have HIS OWN father seperate him from his wife- all for the sin of BEING a father himself 😱
Still, we always have a soft spot for Geb's unrelenting determination when facing his fate. Especially when Joshua Orsi gives him such a beautiful voice 💚

How are everyone enjoying their Pride month? 😉🏳️‍🌈☀️

Since ⚠️NMWP⚠️ is a Q***r-owned company (🏳️‍⚧️), we've never felt very attached to gendered-based casting. In so many shows from the popular cannon, the gender requirements for characters stem from old-fashioned stereotypes and false beliefs about what each gender identity should encompass.
We are VERY proud to say that as much as possible, the person who sent us best audition will get the role. It's not always that simple, as some roles have to be reserved for certain communities to best honor their stories, but when we can- we try to cast the person's talent and work ethic, not their looks or identity. 🫖

For example, we often get jokes about how we never cast any men- that's not true! We'll leave it to you to imagine how many fxmmes and womxn submit kickass auditions time and time again to create that illusion... 🤷‍♀️

And if that casting philosophy creates a surprise Q***r moment on stage- the better 🤩

"Winds of change are set to blow and sweep this whole land through..." 🌪🍃🪽

When we started researching ancient Egyptian mythology, one of the first things that came up is the importance of Ra's rebirth with each morning sun ☀️ No matter how hard is his nightly journey through the Duat, each day is a chance to start completely over, try again and live a new life 🪲 We immediately knew we should end our concert with this little ditty... 😉
