En el marco de la conmemoración de los 50 años del golpe de Estado en Chile, mañana 11 de septiembre participaremos del Ejercicio de la Memoria del Museo de la Solidaridad Salvador Allende.

Entre 10 y 17 horas, podrás compartir tu reflexión en torno a la memoria y participar de las otras actividades preparadas por el museo y la Mesa de Cultura del Barrio República.

Friends of New York, we deeply appreciate your warm response to the launch of our book “What Urgent Question to Ask?” at Storefront for Art and Architecture on October 31. We want to especially thank Francisca Benítez for her affectionate guidance and company. Francisca not only welcomed us in her DIRECT ACTION exhibition, but put us in contact with different communities, organizations, projects, and people. To each of them, thank you very much for embracing Project Question in our conversations.

The book launch consisted of a series of one-on-one conversations in which we delivered more than 150 of the 300 printed copies, to various residents and visitors to the city. We can't wait to see what activations of this toolkit can bring about by the communities, artists, educators, students, activists, and neighbors who took this book and toolkit in its hands.

Amigos de Nueva York, agradecemos profundamente su asistencia y respuesta el pasado 31 de octubre para el lanzamiento de nuestro libro “¿Qué pregunta es urgente hacer?” en Storefront for Art and Architecture. Queremos agradecer especialmente la cariñosa guía y compañía de Francisca Benítez quien no solo nos acogió en su exposición ACCIÓN DIRECTA, sino que también nos puso en contacto con distintas comunidades, organizaciones, proyectos y personas. A cada uno de ellos, muchas gracias por abrazar a Proyecto Pregunta en nuestras conversaciones.

El lanzamiento del libro consistió en una cadena de conversaciones uno-a-uno en las que entregamos más de 150 de las 300 copias impresas, a diversos habitantes y visitantes de la ciudad. Estamos ansiosos por ver lo que pueden generar las activaciones de este set de herramientas, por parte de los que de este libro y set herramientas hagan las comunidades, artistas, educadores, estudiantes, activistas y vecinos que lo tomaron en sus manos.

TYPOGRAPHY PROJECT by
Pregunta is a monospace typeface family with three style variants:
Pregunta Regular, Pregunta Frame, and Pregunta Black Frame.
Developed on behalf of the collective to be used in the book “WHAT QUESTION IS URGENT TO ASK?”
The work consisted of the digitization and typographic systematization of the hand-painted letters made by Mil M2 for Question Project. These paintings were based on the the Helvetica type and in their digitization they sought to rescue the manual quality of the layout over the typography used as a mold.
The Pregunta typeface was developed and manufactured at Quintana-Font Foundry by Javier Quintana G., Luis Romanque A. , AND Guido Ferreyra

The book’s design arises from the dialogue between graphic designer Sebastián Rodriguez ( ) and the collective, asking how to visually activate a unique archive of questions.

In the left book, each spread visually raises a new question, generating a rhythm based on questions, interviews, and actions. A rhythm that guides readers on a path of constant questioning and inquiring.

The right book proposes 18 activities, and provides four sets of tools, a set of letters and a methodology to do the Question Project with your own community.

We want to thank Piedad Rivadeneira and Paula Recart and Mara Abrams
for their advice throughout this process.
