Celebrate with The Broadway Bach Ensemble, your spectacular community orchestra on the Upper West Side. Share in our mission to engage, educate, uplift, and connect through three exciting concerts each season.

BBE concerts are always free. We pride ourselves in providing this service and sharing our love for music; our orchestra members and soloists donate their time and musical expertise. But other costs including renting our rehearsal and performance space, instrument cartage, music rental, web hosting, printing programs, and recording have risen significantly.

This year, we need your help to achieve a specific fundraising goal of $5,000 to cover the cost of our upcoming Spring Concert on May 3, 2026. We’ll be featuring long-time friend of The BBE Timothy Cobb, principal bass of The New York Philharmonic in the Serge Koussevitzky Double Bass Concerto.

Please help us reach our goal and share the magic of communal music-making! Our donation link is in the comments.

Mark your calendar for the first performance of our new season of free concerts on New York's Upper West Side. This year's first concert offers an exciting program, and it happens Sunday, October 26, 2025 at 2:00 PM.

Three Great Works:

The program kicks off with a work by our namesake, Johann Sebastian Bach. The Passacaglia and Fugue in C Minor is a fascinating and engaging work, and the colors brought out in this legendary orchestration by Leopold Stokowski are transcendent.

Our featured soloist on this program is Clyde Daley, trumpet. He'll be performing a work by contemporary composer Reena Esmail, "Rosa de Sal."

And the program concludes with Tchaikovsky's tremendous Second Symphony, the "Ukrainian." Don't miss this one, and come early ... we expect a full house!
