Judy and I are thrilled to be part of Westbeth Day at Little Island! I will be playing my saxophone to accompany both dance sections. Please come out and enjoy this special program featuring an array of artists who live at Westbeth Home to the Arts.

I am very excited--the third and final installment--the final four pieces--of Qabbala::Entanglement are going to be played by the Accidental Orchestra THIS SATURDAY! We've been in rehearsal and I just need to thank the creative spirit of everyone who came together on this project. It sounds amazing.

I have learned so much in the past year. About composition, arranging and orchestration--it turns out that when you provide a structure for strings they need to be heard, and soloists can't be drowned out by their accompaniment, and the orchestra needs to be set up in the Westbeth Community Room in specific ways or people are covered up, parts disappear, the effect is not made, and the music suffers. All the musicians have pitched in and made suggestions in the most positive ways, I have worked with sound men, and learned how to make Finale, a music software program, do tricks. People have joined, left, and re-joined in a mesmerizing dance.

And now, with the help of the LMCC and all the wonderful--and I truly mean wonder-full--friends and musicians, my incredible wife Judith, and her team of like-minded compatriots, let's welcome the Winter Solstice with celebratory food and wine.

I hope you can come out Saturday, December 21st, at 8 PM to help us celebrate the ending of the long night we have been living in and to bring in the creative energy and light we will need in the coming year with music and dancing and singing.

Near SoHo, Chelsea and The Whitney Museum, Westbeth is NYC's home for art: sculpture, modern dance, printmaking, poetry, painting, readings, recitals, and even a Feldenkrais class! Bethune street is home to mostly free events in your neighborhood, a beautiful sculpture garden, and an exciting commun...

We are slowed down sound and light waves, a walking bundle of frequencies tuned into the cosmos. We are souls dressed up in sacred biochemical garments and our bodies are the instruments through which our souls play their music.
