Pearse Elliott’s fearless comedy about su***de in Northern Ireland rockets to NY for its U.S. premiere courtesy of West Belfast’s Brassneck Theatre (“My Night with George” in 2011). Elliott’s hilarious rollercoaster ride, with Ciaran Nolan in a tour de force performance, has been seen at numerous su***de prevention conventions across Ireland where many have asserted the play has the potential to save lives. Filled with trademark Belfast sarcasm, it’s another example of how a message of hope can be forged from darkness and pain.
