In the summer of 1982, Sintia fled the economic crisis in the Dominican Republic for the Middle East, looking for opportunity. Despite cultural and language barriers she meets Bashir, the love of her life to whom she marries and has a son, Ghassan. Despite the countless attacks in Syria, her family manages to survive in the midst of the bloodiest war in history. But they pay a high price โ they get separated. 33 years later, seeking to reunite with her family, Sintia returns to the Dominican Republic. But itโs difficult for her to obtain the necessary papers for her husband (who is in Syria) and son (who is in Lebanon). Still, Sintia will not rest until her family is reunited.

Synopsis
Rafaela is a young girl from the Capotillo neighborhood of Santo Domingo, who comes from a dysfunctional family and dreams of moving to another place with her mother. Growing up, she becomes the leader of a gang that commits petty crimes, which the neighborhood boss known as Mario el Mago, wants to force to work for him. Rafaela is constantly bullied for being a woman that others see as transgender and fail to decipher. And in an increasingly violent world, she struggles to find her identity.

Synopsis
Film that recounts the life of Jordan, a young man with a passion for Basketball and Carmen, his mother, who is a devout Christian. Throughout history we see how Jordรกn is influenced by his best friend Edgar and is taken to extreme situations, very similar to those that his father Alfredo experienced in his youth. Jordรกn meets Don Roberto, a God-fearing man, who finds in Jordรกn the reflection of his past, thus feeling the need and purpose to share his time to train Jordan, not only physically but also spiritually.

Les imploro que por favor incluyan a los jovenes que estan haciendo su trabajo en film, como la serie de en youtube, el pineapple diaries en youtube, Oz rodriguez quien acaba de estrenar su pelicula vampires vs the bronx en Netflix, Oscar Peรฑa quien produjo HOLD ON en el 2019 con Kaufman Studios, Diana Peralta con su pelicula De lo Mio cual la acaba de comprar HBO, Abuelas Luck cual tanbien la compro HBO, etc. Me preocupa mucho que las mayoria de veces que veo este festival ustedes se enfocan en las peliculas en espaรฑol y los Dominican Americanos, muchos imigrantes tanbien nos quedamos afuera. Por favor hagan su delijencia con investigar quienes somos los que tanbien estamos haciendo este trabajo para que lo incluyan, si no, les sugiero publiquen que este festival es solo para ciertos Dominicanos de la diaspora. Se ha hecho tremendo trabajo en los ultimos 5 aรฑos para que todavia esten reciclando peliculas viejisimas. Actualizensen por favor.
