My teenage daughter went on her first date and never came home — then I found something hidden in my son's room.
A year ago, my daughter Emily went on her first date.
She spent hours getting ready. Tried on three different outfits. Asked me twice if she looked okay.
Before leaving, she hugged her little brother and laughed when he begged her to bring him dessert.
That was the LAST TIME I saw her.
According to Leo — the boy she was supposed to meet — she NEVER arrived.
The police searched for months. Volunteers joined the effort. Her face was everywhere.
NOTHING.
No witnesses. No clues. No answers.
Leo became one of our biggest supporters. He helped organize searches. Checked in on me constantly. Sometimes I think he grieved almost as much as we did.
But my other son, Din — Emily's twin brother... CHANGED completely.
They had always been inseparable. After she disappeared, he stopped talking. Stopped laughing. Stopped being himself.
Whenever I tried to reach him, he would shut down and leave the room.
A year passed.
Last week, while cleaning my youngest son's bedroom, I noticed something STRANGE.
A black plastic BAG hidden far under the bed.
At first, I assumed it was garbage.
But it felt heavy.
Carefully, I pulled it out.
Inside was something wrapped in an old sweatshirt.
The moment I saw it, my heart nearly stopped.
Because whatever it was...
it belonged to Emily.
And there was absolutely NO REASON for it to be hidden there.
My hands started shaking.
Then I noticed a folded NOTE tucked underneath, written in my daughter's handwriting.
Dated three days after she disappeared.
And addressed to only ONE person.
DIN. 👇👇👇
