My dear friends,

In May of 2024, I announced the debut of something beautiful. Something that I never thought I would undertake. Something I never knew I needed. On November 1st 2024, that dream became a reality, as I set myself on a mission to understand what we all really need (including myself) in this world; A chance to be understood, a chance to relate to others, a chance to explore the arts, a chance to share our stories, a chance to heal and most of all, a chance to be kind to one another.

I do not expect anything in return other than the hope in that I succeeded in my goal to change others lives for the better by providing people with a safe space to relate and heal through the arts…

For this final episode, as you listen, I want you to reflect on how far you might’ve come on this journey. Be proud and let no one tell you otherwise. Maybe do something for you today and don’t ask for permission. I think you deserve it. While this season may be over, I have much more in store for you and the future with An Artist’s Way of Healing, so stay tuned!

With that said, thank you all for being here and listening. If you feel this page would help someone who is struggling, encourage them to follow and reach out. Let’s build a healing community together through our art.

Hello friends!

I am pleased to present to you our last (but certainly not least) Guest Artist of Season 1, the wonderful !

Most known for Co-Creating the role of Usnavi in In the Heights and Alexander Hamilton in Hamilton with Lin Manuel Miranda on Broadway, Javier has made a name for himself as both an Actor and an Activist for the LGBTQIA+, HIV AIDS and Arts communities.

Tune in as Javier takes the listener on a journey through his life, discussing how he first started within the arts, the sacrifices and discoveries he made along the way about himself, his struggles with testing positive for HIV AIDS, his struggles with being diagnosed with cancer, and how even though there were times he wanted to give up his dream of becoming an Actor, fate brought him back to the arts time and time again.

Episode 10 is here! On today’s episode, let’s talk about mental health and how using creatives in a therapeutic setting can help heal us.

Here to talk about that exactly is Licensed Clinal Social Worker, Jason Wieder! Tune into today’s episode, as Jason discusses how he has been able to develop a clinical practice that is effective for his patients, while also utilizing his creative side and the experiences he has developed as an actor. Lastly, Jason talks about how he uses his experience as a mental health professional when acting to be able to properly develop his character and to find the psychological backstory that is needed to play the role.
