There's a haunting feeling being back in the City. It's emotional and I can't quite grasp it yet. It's really a neat place to be and that in and of itself is interesting 'cause I certainly didn't feel that way when I left.

I'm amazed at how amazed I find myself as I walk around the City that was home for most of my life. I see everything from the perspective of an older person with a more artistic eye, a tourist "seeing" the City for the first time.

People are even friendlier than I always remember them being. I'm glad I always defended that friendliness during the years that I was away from the Mid-Atlantic region; something I had found myself doing on numerous occasions.

Buildings/architect fascinate me; today, as I walked, I found myself standing in front of an empty, decrepit building, and saw such beauty and potential. The structure was so solid that my frequent thought of "they'll never make them like that again" returned.
