Wanna HELP SAVE THE BROOKLYN BANKS & met with a member from Community Board 1 and the Brooklyn Banks are on the agenda for discussion at the next meeting that is tomorrow(Tuesday November 17th at 6pm- sign in by 5:55pm) and will be on webex at https://live.mcb1.nyc. (Link also in bio) Share this loudly with all your friends. It is so easy to join now that meetings are online. DOT has confirmed that they will be at the meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to understand from the DOT where we are in terms of schedule/construction/scope/future plans, but also be clear and open that once the work is complete we want the space back in public hands and expect their cooperation. We need members of the public to speak out about why the Banks is important and of benefit to the community. As many speakers and supporters as we can get, with variety in use groups, ages, perspectives, etc.... the number of people matters, it’s an indication of community support. From kids to old guys like myself. I hope to see you there!
