Another one of my eclipse photos with my large telephoto lens and solar lens filter. This was later on when the moon dropped lower and I shot it with my newer and technically better camera.

We believe that to create a work of art we must have the power to imagine, and, at the same time, to maintain a coherent discipline.
During the early nineties we had the opportunity to collaborate with famous italian architect Ettore Sottsass at the design of a house to be built in the island of Maui, Hawaii.
The project consisted in the design of a single family house located in Kula, the beautiful hills below the volcan Haleakala.
The cutting edge project was designed by Sottsass Associates in Italy, using the metric system. We were assigned the task of translating the construction documents into imperial measurements and american specifications.
Such a task forced us to collaborate with local Hawaiian architect Richard Young, visit the site, understand its constraints and learn the basics of wood-frame construction. we also found ourselves in the position of having to mediate between two very different design cultures: the italian style and the american pragmatism.

A habitat does not have to be large, but needs to have harmony in its lines, jewel-like proportions, and artistic presence.
A concept design for a building to be located in the vibrant neighborhood of Williamsburg, a block away from the park facing the East River.
This boutique condo-building is composed by only 4 residential units and 2 retail spaces on the street level.
