People seasoned by different suns, the complicated beautiful beginning. Weaving sacred stories, stolen stitching inside and outside the lines. Page by page, note by note. We right Write life. I had a tremendous week working with Charleston Symphony Izcaray
Bekker and Morris Robinson, Bass. The Dvorăk Te Deum is a masterpiece and of course Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy was a treat! After our last concert, I had the privilege of meeting and singing at the home of Greene, biographer and author of all things DuBose Hayward and PORGY & BESS. He owns the most Porgy and Bess artifacts outside of the Smithsonian.

Directly after Charleston, I found myself in Tuscaloosa, where I had the pleasure of rounding out performances of Nkeiru Okoye’s “A Time for Jubilee” with Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra and Adam Flatt. Stillman College TUSKEGEE UNIVERSITY, Alabama State University were all wonderful!!!

I don’t believe that I’ve ever sung a Monday night concert. It certainly is a good way to start the week!!
