The Crossing's 40th album, RIGWRECK, presents five works by composer Gabriel Jackson, written for the ensemble and conductor Donald Nally, with urgent, word-driven choral writing that is guided by texts that wrestle with themes of ecology, violence, and longing.

Julie Fowlis is interviewed by The Times and The Sunday Times ahead of her first headline tour of Scotland this June:

Thanks to for the interview and write up - if you would like to know my favourite Scottish restaurants, earliest memories and who I think is Scotland’s most underrated singer - click on the link in my stories.

I also share how I was told in high school - in no uncertain terms - that music wasn’t ’in me’ and that I shouldn’t consider it as an option for further study. I think on it still. All these years later, those firm words to an impressionable teenager can ring loudly in my ears, especially in moments of self-doubt.

There are also mentions of some memorable holiday spots, and recording and touring plans for the rest of 2026 and beyond… ✨

Nico Muhly & The Tallis Scholars' 'No Resting Place' is a featured album in the latest issue of BBC Music Magazine:

"No Resting Place captures a distinctive musical relationship between the American composer Nico Muhly and The Tallis Scholars.... This is music shaped by long familiarity. Phillips’s commissions from Muhly span more than ten years, and the composer clearly understands the ensemble’s sound: a blend of clarity, strength and unforced radiance."

The new recording is the culmination of 10 years of collaboration, and is out now on Linn Records!

Recently announced: The Gesualdo Six will return to the BBC Proms for a performance on September 2 at Royal Albert Hall!

Some exciting news…

We’re performing at the BBC Proms this summer with a concert at the Royal Albert Hall. Back in 2023, we made our Proms debut with a madrigal concert in Aberystwyth, and now we return to the festival for an evening of music spanning the centuries 🎶

On 2 September, we’ll join the Colin Currie Group for an atmospheric late-night Prom featuring 900-year-old chant, Renaissance polyphony, and music by Steve Reich.

And the last people on stage before we stroll out? The Berlin Phil. No pressure 👀
