My Neighbors Keep Taking My Parking Spots. Nobody Will Help
I live in a townhome complex where each unit only gets two parking spots. These spots are right in front of my home. It should be simple.. It is not.
For months people keep parking in my spots. They act like the rules do not apply to them. Every time I come home I have to figure out whose car is, in my spot. My own parking spot is occupied in front of my house. I tried to handle it the way.
The Homeowner Association is supposed to help with this. They are supposed to authorize towing.. They are very hard to reach. I call them. Nobody answers. I send them emails. They ignore me.
I even called the police. They came to my home. They looked at the car. Told me it is private property. They said there is nothing they can do. I asked them if they could least try to find the owner.. They would not do it. They just left.
Now I am stuck in this situation. Strangers take my parking spot. They do not get in trouble. I am expected to deal with it.
I thought about putting up signs that say do not park. I thought about using cones or warning notices.. I am frustrated. It seems like people do not have respect anymore.
What is the effective way to stop people from taking my parking spots when the Homeowner Association and the police will not help?
