On Monday, April 27, New Amsterdam Singers will hold our annual benefit at the Century Association, the landmarked, art-filled Stanford White building at 7 W. 43rd Street. Enjoy cocktails, entertainment — including a spirited sing-along — and dinner.

Inspired by our May 29 and 31 concert, "A Gift to Be Free," the evening's musical program will explore different aspects of freedom — from the Revolutionary War forward.

Spanning the Baroque and Romantic eras, the concert features Bach’s motet "Jesu, Meine Freude" — a singer and audience favorite — plus works by Schütz, Rheinberger, Reger, and Felix and F***y Mendelssohn.

Join us at our upcoming concert on Friday, March 13 at 7:30 and Sunday March 15 at 4 pm. This second concert of our 2025-26 season centers on Leipzig, Germany, the city where Johann Sebastian Bach lived and worked for the last 27 years of his life and produced many of his greatest compositions. Spanning the Baroque through the Romantic eras, the program features Bach’s music alongside the works of those who preceded and followed him, including Schütz, Rheinberger, Reger, and the siblings Felix and F***y Mendelssohn. Both concerts are at Broadway Presbyterian Church on 114th and Broadway, and Sunday's concert will also be available as a live stream.
