A year ago today, Aggie was transported from Animal Care and Control in East New York, Brooklyn, and given a fine new home. Two excellent meals a day. Medical care. Frequent massages.

In return: ingratitude.

One year ago, Aggie was removed from the streets of Brooklyn, preparatory to his acquisition by his current Care Team five days later.

This photograph shows Aggie at Animal Care and Control in the East New York section of Brooklyn, where he annoyed the staff and volunteers in the runup to his transfer to Patchin Place.

Aggie Crisis Bulletin, March 13, 2019:

This morning, Aggie was found at the back window, making peculiar noises and obviously in a state of high agitation. An investigation by his Care Team indicated that a black cat was visible in the window of the residence facing us on Milligan Place.

A surveillance team swung into action and procured the Evidence Photo displayed herein. The cat in question will be taken into custody at the earliest opportunity. As indicated by the photograph to the right, taken afterwards, Aggie remains in a state of discombobulation.

Further bulletins will be posted as developments warrant.

Difficult to photograph because he is black. He is aware of this, which is why he sleeps in this position. Behind him is the snow that used to be home until one year ago.

Aggie's Family Tree has been officially released by Aggie Care Team's Historiography Task Force. It is the product of months of painstaking research by Dr. P. Seymour DeCavalcante, a noted genealogist. Dr. DeCavalcante spent several months exploring the alleys, bodegas and under the parked cars of Brooklyn to find Aggie's ancestors. He spent weeks poring over microfilm birth and death records, hospital admissions and dental records.

This is the product of his research. It is not complete, but gives a good picture of this animal's forebearers.
