It is with a very heavy heart that we share the news that our dear Kitty Bruce, Lenny Bruce’s only child, has passed away at the age of 70. Ronnie and Kitty shared a very special bond. She was proud of the way Ronnie carried her father‘s legacy. Kitty worked tirelessly in her father’s name to take care of people in need and ensure people knew the truth about this incredible man that we are so honored to bring to life on stage.
Marmo states, ““She was a force of love, courage, truth, and compassion in her own right. She believed deeply in preserving her father’s voice and message for future generations. I will forever be grateful for her love, friendship, and belief in me — for giving me her blessing to write her father’s story and portray him on stage for audiences around the world in I’m Not a Comedian… I’m Lenny Bruce. Losing Kitty is heartbreaking, but her spirit, her laughter, and her devotion to justice and humanity will live on forever. It has been one of the greatest honors of my life to carry on Lenny’s legacy alongside her, and I will continue to do so with pride in both her name and her father’s.”
