It’s been some time since Broadway Arts Lab was altogether and I wish this post was about an amazing revival but alas. Many of you may remember Tony’s mom, Mama Liz, from backstage tech week. Liz is battling Alzheimer’s and we have an amazing opportunity to get her a new treatment that could stop the progression. After after a rough year of divorce, business closing and this, we are asking for folks to consider contributing to her cause so we can make the last years of her life better. Hey BALCO folks! It’s been some time since we all last connected but Tony and I think fondly if all of you often and our time together creating beautiful theater.

I am writing today because of of our core Mamas, Mama Liz, is now battling Alzheimer’s and we are asking for your support.

For years, Liz poured her heart into children’s theater—first at MET2 Children’s Theater in Los Angeles and later at Broadway Arts Lab in New Jersey, where she became a second mom to so many young performers and their families.

Our family has found a specialized treatment program in Cuba that offers hope for slowing the progression of her disease and improving her quality of life. Unfortunately, after an incredibly difficult year that included closing her business, being the victim of financial theft, and going through a divorce, the treatment is simply out of reach financially.
