Elia Kazan's annotated script from the original production of "A Streetcar Named Desire" is on view now at the NYPL The New York Public Library Polonsky Exhibition. We suggest a fantastically Tennessee Williams-themed Saturday: see how Kazan understood Blanche DuBois and then head to the reading of "Miss Blanche Tells It All."

This script, revised on October 6th, 1947 and used by Kazan, bears many annotations and is the only known surviving script of his from the production.
