OnTheRoad Repertory Company was founded in 2012 by Artistic Director Alice Spivak, the renowned acting mentor.

Our mission is to create an ensemble of players producing revivals and original works in New York City. Company members:

The class will review essential tools such as: Resumes, Headshots, Reels and online presence, Agents and Managers, Unions, Auditioning and communicating with the Industry. Get a dual perspective from both sides of the audition table for stage and screen. Be welcomed to hand in your resume and headshot in follow up to taking the class.

🚨UPCOMING🚨: Introduction To Shakespeare’s Verse!
2 Weeks with CONAN MCCARTY
First class starts: OCTOBER 9th at 6:30pm
About the class and Conan:
Conan McCarty has appeared in twenty of Shakespeare’s plays in thirty productions from Broadway, New York Theatre Workshop, the Delacorte in Central Park; across the country from Shakespeare Santa Cruz to the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Indiana Repertory to the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, and a twisted deconstructionist take on ‘Macbeth’ at the West Bank Cafe Downstairs Theatre Bar. His favorites (of those he’s played) are Iago, Thersites, and Caliban. He calls them his lovelies.
THE CLASS: In this workshop, I’d like to gently introduce new comers to Shakespeare’s verse, showing how it works and how to use its clues to help you speak it. Shakespeare was an actor, and I believe he wrote very actor friendly plays. As different as the world was in London, 1595, the same electric excitement exists today when you stride out onstage on opening night. And he’s still there to help you get through it.
