O Yemi Tubi engages with the social and political realities that shape collective life. Through symbolism, portraiture, and emotionally charged narratives, his work addresses conflict, displacement, inequality, environmental concerns, and the resilience of individuals and communities.

Carina Söderström Teresa Guadalupe Olds

Teresa Guadalupe Olds is a painter born in Santiago de Querétaro, Mexico and based in Queens, New York. She works primarily in oil, building figurative and architectural environments from memory, intuition, and spiritual fascination. Her paintings, characterized by saturated color and luminous light, render personal mythology and interior states as immersive spaces that feel simultaneously familiar and otherworldly.

She received her BFA in Fine Arts with a minor in Art History from Ringling College of Art and Design (2023), and her MFA in Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design, The New School (2025).
Her work has been exhibited in New York City, Florida, and Mexico, including Re:Turning at the Anna-Maria and Stephen Kellen Gallery (New York, 2025). Her work was also featured in Hyperallergic in “Parsons Fine Arts MFA Students Help Us Navigate 2025” (2025).

BENEATH THE VISIBLE | A Duet Exhibition featuring Carina Söderström & Teresa Olds
Carina Söderström Teresa Guadalupe Olds

Carina Söderström was born in Stockholm, Sweden but her heritage is Finnish. With parents that were immigrants the heart and interest in social issues led her to combine Art Science studies at Stockholm University with Art Therapy studies in St Albans, England.
She also worked within this field for a long time until she was in her 40’s. Then Carina studied Art in Beckman’s School of Art and Design in Stockholm and invested wholeheartedly in her artistry and has done so since. Carina Söderström has been awarded with The Tellervo Tikkanen’s scholarship for the Swedish-Finnish artist of the year 2017.
Her work can be found as well in schools, preschools and homes for the elderly, Sundbyberg town hall and other public institutions as in private homes.
Exhibitions:
The artist has been shown in single and group exhibitions in Sweden and in a number of other countries.
In Sweden: Stockholm, Sundbyberg, Nyköping, Eskilstuna, Visby and Sigtuna.
Abroad in: Milano, Helsinki, Paris, Madrid, Amsterdam, London, Basel (online) and Chile (online) to mention some.

Sfumato Art Creatives is pleased to present Beneath the Visible, a Duet Exhibition bringing together the works of Carina Söderström and Teresa Olds in an exploration of the unseen dimensions of existence—memory, spirituality, vulnerability, transformation, and the inner forces that shape our understanding of ourselves and the world around us.

For Carina Söderström, painting becomes a search for the essence beyond physical appearance. Through figures, organic forms, and references to water, stone, trees, and atmosphere, her layered oil paintings explore the invisible energy connecting humanity and nature, allowing deeper emotions and presence to emerge beyond representation.

Teresa Olds approaches painting as a process of uncovering and reclaiming what has been hidden. Drawing from vulnerability, memory, spirituality, loss, and awakening, her symbolic and emotionally charged works explore transformation and the thresholds between absence and presence, vulnerability and strength, and the known and unknown.

Together, their works create a contemplative dialogue between the visible and invisible. Through distinct approaches, Söderström and Olds reveal how memory, emotion, spirituality, and personal experience can exist beneath the surface, shaping identity and connecting us to something greater.

Marion Pons Koch (b. 1987) lives and works in Paris. Holding degrees in creative direction and communication, she develops a practice as a visual artist and photographer-author.
Her work explores the resonances between mental health, memory, and the body through the hybridization of photography, painting, and mixed media. Guided by intention, she seeks to embody the invisible and the unspeakable. Her practice turns vulnerability into a space for emancipation and political affirmation — a commitment to the way our personal stories inhabit the world.
Represented by the agency Art Confidential and a member of the Monolith collective, her work has been featured in international publications and exhibitions (Too Tired Project in the United States, BBA Gallery in Berlin, Art Seen Magazine, 101 Artbook, Sfumato Art Creatives) and was presented at the Festival OFF d’Arles in 2026.

Samineh Amel Sayyah (b. 1983, Tehran) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans painting, drawing, installation, fashion design, photography, and digital art. Rooted in a lifelong devotion to creativity, her work is a powerful testament to transformation—of self, form, and perception. Educated in graphic design at the conservatory and painting at university, Sayyah’s early artistic journey was shaped by technical rigor and a restless desire to explore beyond conventional boundaries. Emerging from a period of personal upheaval with renewed artistic purpose, Sayyah redefined her practice by embracing multiplicity—blending traditional techniques with contemporary media, and personal narrative with universal symbolism. Her portraits are not merely likenesses, but shifting reflections of inner states and collective memory. Faces dissolve into one another, space fractures and reforms, and the canvas becomes a living field of emotion, rhythm, and thought. Throughout her evolution as an artist, Sayyah has remained committed to amplifying women’s voices and challenging static notions of identity.
