Touchstones that represent the deepest dreams of people who have been comforted by having an anchoring advocate in their lives. A collection of glass hearts in the back of a mentor’s office sit as reminders of how fragile the heart can be, and the importance of standing in solidarity with other people. We are one. ❤️

“Be like melting snow, wash yourself of yourself” ~ Rumi How do we take care of each other during this time or any time? A friend was over the moon witnessing the treads of just one car make interlocking hearts by going forward and then in reverse in the snow. Dazed and delirious we couldn’t believe how cool it was. So much fun!!! He was going through a difficult patch too yet reached out in friendship. 💜When we get out of ourselves our troubles temporarily vanish. Forget yourself for a bit, this moment, make someone laugh...
Send a text to someone you haven’t in awhile... share a sweet photo, bake something for someone, call someone whose alone, write a loved one a letter... There are so many ways we can show up for another. It is true that in GIVING we receive.

It has been awhile since there is a post here. At a certain point, the abundance of hearts that flooded my texts from others and their appearance in my day to day existence left me perplexed as to their “meaning” and abundance. As an artistic type there was a desire to create something with these beauties. In light of the present day circumstances around the globe compelled to post again. Let us remember the love we are, not only to ourselves but to others as well. When we are taking care of ourselves we are also taking care of others. Love is first an inside job. When you are filled with love it can’t help but flow over to others. Chose not to post again until that was a reality in my life again. This heart shape popped up in my stove flame while cooking for my son. It never did it before and has not since...
May these hearts posted here be a sweet reminder of the love YOU are, that OTHERS are and how much more loving WE ALL can become! We are ONE 💙

Took a break from social media, but coming back to share all the photos we have been archiving and to eventually roll out the Love Mafia story.

The idea for Love Mafia scarves developed in stages. Hearts began appearing to me everywhere I went. It was as if some force in the world was saying-- I see you.
Their constant presence clarified for me the importance of living a heart-centered life. And thus began my journey. Friends joined in, gifting me with pictures of hearts and stories of how love had impacted them.
These photographs and stories became a collective mosaic of expressions of love. Each scarf, a micro-story, is emblematic of a personal journey. Each image was created into a mandala, and afterwards organized into a sequence like a mantra or loving prayer.
Love comes to us in many ways when we open ourselves up and accept what is going on in the moment. Sometimes we are joyous, but often the gift may not look like what we expected or even what we wanted. With growing awareness, it is through our connections with other sentient beings that we get to find out who we are in the world.

Mandalas formed with the image of our flag represent the spirituality of individual liberty. Fire represents our passion, ice represents hardships overcome, and glass represents the transformation of love and hardship into liberty
