Richmond is excited to announce that ‘The Big Bad Wolf’ will be playing at Stafford Film Festival on Sunday 6th September.

It is always special when this film plays close to home - having the audience notice colloquial references and jokes. I look forward to seeing how it is received once again on the big screen in a couple of weeks.

Behind the scenes of animating my new film ‘The Dudley Bug.’

I am now in the thick of post production working with extremely talented editors, compositors, VFX artists and soon to be musicians and sound designers. This film is coming up to 18 months of production - which is the longest project I have undertaken (3 times longer than ‘The Big Bad Wolf’) - but I feel that you are all in for a treat with this 7 minute long short film!

Introducing John Homer as the voice of ‘The Dudley Bug.’

It gives me great excitement to introduce you all to the voice and personality of my brand new character. Many of you may recognise John’s voice as the narrator of ‘The Big Bad Wolf’ - but this time he is the speaking voice of the bug!

This film has been a very unconventional process. There has not been a formal script written - instead I interviewed John about life in the Black Country and slimmed down the 2 hour interview into the most entertaining and informative 5 minutes to create a cozy animated documentary.

John Homer is a Black Country treasure and is known hugely through the area for his work in the community at West Bromwich Albion, Black Country Living Museum and his poetry.

I look forward to sharing more of the cast of ‘The Dudley Bug’ with you all shortly.
