Being an artist is sometimes literally just watching paint dry 😭

Especially if you work with oil paints.

You spend hours painting something, finally feel like you made progress, leave the studio feeling productive… and then come back the next day just to realize the painting is still completely wet.

So now you either wait patiently like a responsible artist… or touch it anyway and instantly regret it.

Two colorful interiors with some of my abstract artworks. I love to see the synergy of the art and space. On the third picture you can see me with one of my latest sculptures. Which piece is your favorite here?

There is a specific dialogue that happens when an abstract form takes its place. Seeing the piece in my hands gives you the scale and the physical reality, but seeing it on a wall is where the energy really starts to vibrate. It’s about how a single curve or a bold color can shift the entire mood of a space.

Things I would do differently if I started as an artist today:

1. Build an email list from day one.
Algorithms change overnight. An email list stays yours.

2. Focus on my own website earlier.
Social media should bring people in, not be the whole business.

3. Show the process more.
People connect with the work much more when they see the messy middle behind it.

4. Stop trying to please the algorithm.
The moments where my work grew the most were usually the moments I made what actually felt exciting to me.

5. Start before everything feels ready.
Most things improve only after doing them hundreds of times anyway.

Often, people get lost in the surroundings, but for me, it’s always about how a single form can shift the entire energy of a room. It’s not about finding a piece that “fits” a wall, it’s about a piece that commands it. These three settings show exactly that: the dialogue between scale, shadow, and my work.

Every curve and every angle is designed to hold its own, regardless of the environment. My art doesn’t complement a space; it defines its character. When you bring one of these pieces home, you’re not just hanging an object, you’re installing a presence that demands to be seen every single day.
