Now playing at B Street Theatre in Sacramento, FRANKLINLAND by Lloyd Suh is "an engaging exploration of power, legacy, and the bonds between parent and child." 🪁⚡

We're especially proud to see this production directed by TRW author Sean Patrick Nill, whose adaptation of WINNIE-THE-POOH is licensed through TRW.

Forty years celebrating the iconic B St. Theatre continues with Franklinland, an engaging exploration of power, legacy, and the bonds between father and son. Lloyd Suh’s play about the complexities of Benjamin Franklin has an emotional core that centers on the volatile relationship between the fou...

We're shining the TRW spotlight on Lloyd Suh. ✨

A Pulitzer Prize Finalist, Guggenheim Fellow, and Steinberg Playwright Award winner—Lloyd's work spans intimate two-handers, sweeping historical epics, and unflinching portraits of the Asian American experience.

🌊 THE FAR COUNTRY, a 2023 Pulitzer Prize Finalist, follows an unlikely family carrying invented biographies and poems of longing on an arduous journey from rural Taishan to Angel Island Detention Center, in the wake of the Chinese Exclusion Act. Intimate and epic. Devastating and full of grace.

🍷 THE HEART SELLERS finds two young immigrant wives—one Filipina, one Korean—meeting by chance on Thanksgiving 1973. Over a bottle of wine and a questionable frozen turkey, they dream of disco dancing, Disneyland, and a place to belong. Funny, tender, unforgettable.

⚡ FRANKLINLAND tells the story of growing up as the only son of Benjamin Franklin: the greatest scientific mind in the world, inventor of the lightning rod and bifocals and, oh yeah, in his spare time the United States of America. A brisk, biting comedy about fathers, sons, and the American experiment.
