I am so proud of this cast, crew and design team. John Reeger wrote a funny, poignant and meaningful play and Fulton Theatre and Marc Robin entrusted it to me to direct. I know Lancaster audiences will enjoy this as will many other cities when it gets released.

Changing Channels, by John Reeger, is a story of 1950's television, the Red Scare, and the costs of standing your ground. Peter Bisgaier and Kate Fahrer star as Eddie Gilroy and Maggie Carlin, stars of 'For Pete's Sake' (the play's equivalent of The Honeymooners). When their show gets transferred to...

The Red Channels List managed to blacklist many in the entertainment industry in the 40s and 50s. All because of fear, after the Cold War, that we could be influenced by those who who mainly wanted to entertain.

The year is 1952. TV stars such as Lucille Ball, Sid Caesar and Jackie Gleason bring laughter into America’s homes each week, but nobody is laughing behind the cameras when a number of artists are blacklisted for their political beliefs. Hey All,
Hoping everyone is staying safe, wearing masks and social distancing. We are not out of the woods yet. The longer we have a high numbers of cases in this country the longer Covid-19 will continue to infect and kill.
Theater, my profession, might be one of the last things to come back from this pandemic. Actors can't necessarily social distance and tell a good story on stage or in TV/Film. Audiences can't congregate with infection rates at a certain level. Crews can't be safe either. Sports have the same issues.
Please do your part to stop the spread of Covid-19 by
washing your hands frequently,
wearing a mask outside and in social gatherings, and
staying 6 feet apart from other people.
It's a small sacrifice to to get businesses up and running again. It will be hard enough for audiences to trust showing up to a play knowing Covid-19 is still out there, but even more so if they know not everyone is taking it seriously. We will never open back up if we don't all take it seriously.
My best to everyone hit by Covid 19 personally, financially and physically.
Peace,
Kevin

So sorry to hear about the loss of Thomas Meehan. He was a great writer and we got to know him briefly during Death Takes A Holiday. He and Maury Yeston took a big chance on me.
Condolences to his family and friends. On a side note Julie and I have both performed in "Annie" in our carriers. His genius lives on.

Flashback to High School
Standing in line outside the MHS football field, ready to graduate, I was asked (in a raspy voice), "Can you sing the National Anthem?" It was the girl who was supposed to sing and she lost her voice the night before. I quickly ran down the lyrics in my head and said "What Key?"
