As an artist, it’s easy to get discouraged when you’re between gigs, and to overlook the strange and wonderful projects you’ve been a part of. I started keeping a list of all my gigs this year in an effort to combat that feeling of dread, and it really has helped to keep my head above water during those lean times.
This collage is sort of a calendar of my favorite gigs from each month. Thank you to you all for following me this year! Here’s hoping that 2018 will bring a whole new batch of exciting and unexpected opportunities.
January: singing backup for the release of Doreen Montalvo Mann’s debut album “American Soul/Latin Heart”

March: recording an updated feminist version of “Woman” with the Sweethearts
April: filming a commercial for eBay with Crown Chimp in Tucson

June: first airshow in Reading, PA with the Sweethearts
July: made it to the semi-finals round of MetroStar Talent Search at Metropolitan Room
August: Performing as Moana in Union Square

October: blitzing the J train singing Queen’s “Somebody to Love” with Apartment Sessions
November: R-Class workshops at RWS
