Next stop: Il Giardino dei Tarocchi, Tuscany

Step into Niki de Saint Phalle’s world: a dreamlike sculpture garden in the hills of southern Tuscany, inspired by the 22 Major Arcana of the tarot.

Here, art becomes architecture, mythology, and total immersion, so much so that Niki herself lived inside “The Empress,” a monumental sculpture she created as both artwork and home.

Next stop: Kistefos Museum, outside Oslo.

Built on the grounds of a former wood pulp mill, Kistefos Museum brings together sculpture, architecture, industrial history, and landscape.

Its sculpture park includes more than 50 works by leading international artists, including yayoikusama, Studio Olafur Eliasson, Anish Kapoor, Fernando Botero, and Elmgreen & Dragset.

At the center is “The Twist” by Bjarke ingels; part gallery, part bridge, part sculpture.

This collector’s imagination created a pilgrimage where art, industry, and nature become one continuous experience.

“Harmony Hammond: Rust Never Sleeps” at Alexander Gray Associates is a reminder of why Hammond remains such an important voice in feminist and material abstraction.

Her new large-scale works continue her exploration of canvas, textile, rusted metal, grommets, sutures, and surface as sites of both formal and political interrogations. Harking back to the 1980s - her works force rests in its abstracted ability to simultaneously hold the weight of the body, of history, and resistance.

Just closed at Marianne Boesky - Art Gallery, “Sanford Biggers: The Gift of Tongues.”

A layered, theatrical installation of quilts, marble, curtains, and shifting sightlines, the exhibition showed Biggers at his best: reworking history, mythology, Americana, and abstraction into symbols that refuse to stay fixed.
