Aaron Shragge Music's project "Whispering Worlds" seamlessly integrates looping, live processing and sampling with the compelling melodic development found in Raga and the music of the shakuhachi.

The quartet’s debut performance took place at the 2022 Festival of New Trumpet Music and paid homage to Jon Hassell.

"Delving deeply into the sonic and spiritual worlds of Hassell’s work, Aaron Shragge presents a deeply felt homage to the trumpeter and composer. This meditative set demonstrated focus and passion, with beautiful and precise playing. A fantastic vision of what the trumpet can do and be..." – Dave Douglas

Brass Without Borders I - Heidi Bayer / Hilde Marie Holsen / Yannick Barman
Virtual concert broadcasted on Facebook and YouTube

On their common musical path, Yannick Barman and Cyril Regamey have collaborated with many talented and creative musicians. Each of these encounters was an enriching experience that allowed them to discover new sounds, new techniques and new musical approaches. In 2003, they founded KiKu and cultivated collaborations with musicians from different countries and with different musical horizons, such as black cracker and Blixa Bargeld. They describe KiKu as an avant-garde modular machine, indefatigable thanks to its adaptability and open lineup, always daring to cross the boundaries of genre and style. Their boundless imagination and seemingly limitless technique make this project simply unique. They have developed a unique sound that ventures into the realms of electronic music and have since transcended the boundaries between jazz, classical chamber music, electro and rock. On the occasion of their 20th anniversary, they have created their first complete concert only as a duo.
