On this day in 2001, The Strokes released their iconic debut album Is This It. Influenced by artists ranging from The Velvet Underground to The Cure, the band revived the irrestistible sounds of the 70s. Their debut, produced by , achieved international success and many consider it to be one of the greatest albums of all time.

As many of you know (since we initially gained most of our following via posting Queen-themed content), Brian May is one of our favorite musicians! Dr. May is responsible for hits like I Want It All, Fat Bottomed Girls, and the iconic anthem We Will Rock you, as well as fan favorites like It's Late and '39. In addition to his musical career, he is also an avid animal rights activist and has a PhD in astrophysics. Man, is there anything this guy can't do? 🤯

Here is the news... Time by Electric Light Orchestra turns 40 years old today! ⏳
Time, although not ELO's most famous album, is perhaps their most influential. It's a concept album that tells the story of a man abducted to the year 2095. The record features ethereal string arrangements, electrifying synthesizers, and of course, the lovely voice of Mr. Jeff Lynne! Time is one of our favorite ELO albums; please check it out and let us know what you think!
