NYC's annual showcase of Greek cinema, featuring new productions, retrospectives, & more. The 2013 event - our seventh anniversary -- opens on Friday, October 4 at NYC's Museum of the Moving Image. Screenings continue throughout October at various venues in Manhattan, Queens, and on Long Island.

Synopsis: A company of stonemasons wanders the Greek mountains during the early stages of the tumultuous 20th century. War, social conflict, the tidal wave of modern capitalism and the hesitant dawn of the socialist ideal are the volatile backdrop of the eventful journey they have to face in order to return to hearth and home. The desperate struggle to find a way back will eventually become their own personal odyssey.
