Jimmy Hart shared details about Hulk Hogan being heavily booed during the WWE Raw on Netflix premiere, revealing he warned Hogan beforehand, “Hulk I don’t feel good about this.” Hogan reportedly responded confidently with, “Jimmy don’t worry about it.”
Hart said Hogan always checked in with him before segments, recalling, “Hulk said, ‘Jimmy Hart what do you think?’” Hart tried to stay positive, telling him, “No, everything’s good. Everything’s ok,” even though he admitted, “I’m worrying about it.”
Once they walked out, Hart said the crowd reaction immediately changed the atmosphere: “We go out and all of a sudden: ‘Boo.’ ‘Uh oh.’” Hart compared it to his old heel manager days, saying, “I’m waving the heck out of the flag and it gets more and more and more.”
According to Hart, Hogan called him the next day and pointed out, “The ratings were good on that segment we did.” Hart responded, “Well I guess they should be with all the commotion that happened with it.” He also reminded Hogan, “You kept telling me to stop worrying about it, but I was worried about it.”
Hart said Hogan ultimately accepted the backlash, telling him, “Sometimes you’ve gotta do what you gotta do. I’ve made my bed and I’ve got to lie in it.” Hogan added, “That’s who I wanted to vote for, that’s what I wanted to do...”
The most memorable moment came backstage afterward when Hogan reportedly admitted, “I knew I should have worn the NWO t-shirt,” before adding, “I wanted to turn heel on them so bad.”
