Since 1905, the Naumburg Orchestral Concerts has continuously presented free, outdoor classical music concerts to New Yorkers of all walks of life.

The series seeks to stimulate and encourage new and expanded audiences for classical music. Founded 1905, the Naumburg Orchestral Concerts has presented free, outdoor classical music concerts to New Yorkers of all walks of life. The series seeks to stimulate and encourage new and expanded audiences for classical music in the informal and beautiful setting of Central Park. It is the oldest continuous free outdoor western classical music concert series in the world.

The 2026 season ends with an all-Baroque evening. Aisslinn Nosky leads Nosky’s Baroque Band from the violin, joined by baroque trumpet soloist Steve Marquardt.

The program pairs trumpet concertos by Torelli and Telemann with Corelli, Bach’s D minor Violin Concerto, and Telemann’s Burlesque de Quixotte Suite, which follows Don Quixote through his windmills, his longing for Dulcinea, and the gallop of Rosinante, all told through strings.

Free and open to all. Broadcast live on WQXR.

Our final concert of 2026 we are joined by a longtime friend of the concerts, Nosky’s Baroque Band!

Aisslinn Nosky directs from the violin, joined by trumpet soloist Steve Marquardt for a program of Torelli, Corelli, Telemann, and Bach. The evening includes Torelli’s Trumpet Concerto in D, Telemann’s “Burlesque de Quixotte” Suite, and Bach’s Violin Concerto BWV 1052r.

A few images from “Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Treasures from the Mozarteum Foundation of Salzburg,” which closed at the Morgan Library and Museum on May 31, shared ahead of Orchestra of St. Luke’s all-Mozart program at the Bandshell on July 21.

The exhibition paired objects from the International Mozarteum Foundation in Salzburg with manuscripts and early editions from the Morgan’s own collection. Among them: the clavichord the Mozarteum preserves as Mozart’s own, and the unfinished Joseph Lange portrait generally held to be his truest likeness.

The program on the 21st ends with Eine kleine Nachtmusik, K. 525. Brad Lubman conducts, with mezzo-soprano Erin Wagner, a 2021 Naumburg Competition winner, in a set of Mozart arias.

Mezzo-soprano Erin Wagner joins Orchestra of St. Luke’s for an all-Mozart program at the Naumburg Bandshell. Wagner won the Walter W. Naumburg International Competition in 2021 and sings a selection of Mozart arias in the middle of the program.

She is the second former Naumburg competition winner to appear this season.
