Choreography by Johanna LjungQvist-Brinson

Dancers: Sophia Michitson, Giorgia Picano, Lexi Sim, Joseph Heitman, Nathan Rommel. .mmarie .heitman

Founded in 2013, Hanna Q Dance Company has been performing original works. The Swedish born and raised Artistic Director and Choreographer, Johanna LjungQvist-Brinson, draws inspiration from the forces of nature and uses its elements to create dynamic narratives through movement. The choreography is comprised of technically rigorous movement, derived from Johanna’s background in Dunham technique, as well as partnering at once intricately acrobatic and viscerally human. The dancers express bursts of passion and athleticism, sweeping the audience into a different world full of emotions. The company has performed in venues mostly in NYC, including Dixon Place, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Brooklyn Dance Festival, TADA!Theater, The Actors Fund Arts Center, Green Space, New York Live Arts, The Triskelion Arts, Abrons Arts Center and West End Theater.

(If selected, your work will be included in a program in one of the 3 days)

Deadline to apply is SUNDAY, JULY 31st, MIDNIGHT.

The 2022 Festival will provide opportunities to choreographers from all genres of dance forms to showcase work around the following themes:

3. CONQUER

Proposed works should be new or recently re-worked with primarily new choreography. If invited to participate, artists should plan to show the same piece as described in their application.

* Works involving 4 or more dancers presented at the Festival may vary in lengths between 15 minutes and 25 minutes.
