The Orpheum Theatre is located on Second Avenue in the vibrant East Village and was once part of the string of Yiddish theatres on the street. Over the years the theatre has been renovated and transformed from a music hall to a movie theatre to a small legitmate theatre. In the 1980s the theatre underwent renovations again, becoming a 347-seat venue housing various original Off Broadway productions including Little Shop of Horrors, Oleanna, and STOMP.
