Nycmulticulfest

Nycmulticulfest The annual NYC Multicultural Festival celebrates and showcases the diverse ethnic artistic expressions in New York City. The festival is held at St.

Nicholas Ave from 141st to 145th Street and also at the Jackie Robinson Park, all in Harlem, NY Every cultural community, unique in its mode of dress, food, language, beliefs and customs, adds to the sight, sound, taste and smell of New York City. However, this great city is often plagued by hate crimes. Inspired by the desire of retired NYPD Chief of Department, Philip Banks III, to have ‘Police

and Community work together to combat issues of racial/ethnic discrimination and violence in New York City, the NYC Multicultural Festival was founded in 2010. This festival is organized by the community and for the community. It brings together all the cultural groups living in New York City, the NYPD, elected officials, adults and children in celebration of our diverse cultural expressions. The Festival features world music and dance performances on and off stage; a “Love Yourself Pavilion” with free health screenings, massages, acupuncture, meditation and yoga; Retail and Food Vendors from around the world and an International Children’s Village. NYCMF also gives opportunity for old and new entrepreneurs to achieve economic growth through street vending. Apply now to be a vendor or performer at our festival. See www.multiculturalfestival.nyc and click on Register. Join our free workshops or call us to set up a session on “How to Get Your Temporary Street Vendor License”.
