INTRODUCING:Callum Kiser (he/him/his) in the roles of the Narrator and Mysterious Man
What inspired you to get involved with Into the Woods?
Some of my earliest childhood memories are watching the DVD recording of the original Broadway cast and listening to the CD on almost every car ride with my dad! Into the Woods pretty much saturated my childhood, but as I’ve grown older, I’ve come to realize what a heartwarming, funny, and sincerely moving show it is.
Why should people see Into the Woods?
To laugh, to cry, to sing, to wish, to hope, to dream, to have an amazing time!
What’s been your favorite part of working on Into the Woods?
In addition to working with an unbelievably talented cast and crew, I’ve loved delving into the power of Stephen Sondheim’s music and lyrics, and finding new layers every day in James Lapine’s brilliant script.
Which character do you think would be your IRL best friend?
Jack would make an awesome friend—he’s loyal, kind, dedicated, and a dreamer at heart. Plus, being friends with an animal lover means I get to play with all of his adorable pets.
Which magical item in the show are you?
Definitely the very, very white cow.
What’s your favorite childhood fairytale?
Hansel and Gretel, although I still think Into the Woods has a better witch…
When’s the last time you lost YOUR glass slipper ;) / anything you care about?
The only thing I’d be losing is if I wasn’t in this incredible production!
