We are Snug Harbor: New York City’s first and only culture park!
After a three-year-long process of reimagining how to tell the story of all we have to offer, we were excited to officially announce our rebrand at today's SIEDC Conference:
• Snug Harbor is embracing our identity as a culture park on Staten Island: defined as blending of what’s artful, human, and cultural with nature, space, beauty, and community--a destination where history meets the future, and where discovery and exploration are welcome to all.
• We’ve launched a state-of-the-art website redesign, with an easier-to-read events calendar, greater visibility for our long-term resident artists and small businesses, and a more updated visual presentation of the beauty of Snug Harbor.
• In addition to a new wordmark logo, promotional visual identity, palette, typography, and art direction, we’re working to improve signage on campus and promoting a major out-of-house advertising campaign.
So many talented and hardworking people came together to make this vision a reality, including our dedicated staff and supportive board members who provided critical strategic direction. A HUGE thank you to the firms and specialists that joined with the Snug Harbor team to bring the website and new brand to life:
• 2x4 developed the new Snug Harbor unified brand strategy and brand architecture (including our updated logo!)
• Dreamers of Day provided cutting-edge web development and constant support.
• Bellweather Agency created a stunning website design for the 21st century.
• Sam Zimmerman helped us source an expert team of collaborators through a competitive RFP process.
Warm thanks to the Bloomberg Philanthropies Digital Accelerator Program, the Booth Ferris Foundation, and The Staten Island Foundation for funding this important next step for Snug Harbor. Snug Harbor is proud to participate in Bloomberg Philanthropies’ Digital Accelerator Program, which supports arts organizations through strategic improvements to technology infrastructure.
