In my opinion, Grant is one of the most prolific artists to come out of the west coast. Having spent days in the studio with him, and having seen him perform; I can genuinely say that he, out of all of us upcoming artists in the states, is gonna be the one that makes it.

Grateful that he’s a fan, even more grateful that he’s a genuine friend. Keep an eye out for his release on BassCulture coming up…

Mad love Arcata Bay Oyster Fest & Arcane Artists for having me. Someone told me it was the first side stage at Oysterfest with EDM being allowed on a Sound system. Idk if that’s true but if it is, the closing DJ started off with the Pokémon theme song.

Honored to be part of one of Humboldt’s longest-running community events and to help represent the underground sounds that continue to shape our culture.

Come hang out, support local artists, local vendors, great food, and spend the day with the community.

When I think of this festival I think of ‘community.’

/ are a beautiful example of that word. In a time we need community the most. Talk about nourishing the Culture.

So many old friends on the bill…
this one is going to get ratchet. Especially with the lover boy himself, aka your baby mommas other other’ daddy headlining the early entry party.

Ps… hella ESCH originals, and upcoming releases from getting played for the first time. Even IDs doesn’t have.

Before you go to an ESCH set, know this:

originals are more focused on sound rather than a niche genre. Obviously heavily fond of bass music, but I don’t want to be pigeonhole myself to a specific genre. I definitely hold respect for genres and where they come from, but I’m a kid at heart when it comes to music and I choose to stay that way.

Expect:

• Organic world drums amped up through routing and saturation. Heavily influenced by breakbeats, jungle, gqom. The energy is primal.

• Euphoric synths and vocal chops pushed through granulation. Forcing a familiar yet new nostalgic release.
Heavily influenced by pop punk, r&b, Filipino karaoke.
From foreign samples to “it’s just a phase mom” vocals, please know that It’s ok to hold hands and cry at an ESCH set. Happy, sad, you’re meant to feel human. That’s the brand. That’s the purpose.

• Low End bass that hit your throat. If you hear of an ESCH set on a rig, do not miss it. A proper ESCH set is in the dark, the experimental low end breathing of an ESCH track is meant to feel. Inspired by Memphis Phonk, Leftfield Bass, Jamaican Soundsystem Culture, West coast Bass, and obviously the UK.

1 • x , wanted to take a moment and say whenever and I work together on an important project, it’s never a miss.

2 • Meeting a few months back was a blessing. It’s not every day you find a music nerd. Before the show we were eating Thai food talking about the scene and catching up on life. Genuinely talented dude.
One thing I wish Arcata could have seen more of was his experimental side. His set was on point no doubt with that, but most promising artists blowing up like he is usually have to play more to the crowd. My favorite parts of his set were when he slipped in the underground/experimental bangers. Definitely keep an eye out for this one, he’s going places.

3 • Little / .zera has progressed so much in the last few years. The first time I met him, it was at one of the famous animal parties at Portuguese hall. I was performing after sir mix a lot, and just as I was about to finish my set, he put his laptop down on one of the cdjs stopping the track. Being able to share the stage with him and seeing his enthusiasm, positive energy, and hearing his originals has been a blessing over the years.
Honestly surprised he’s not performing at festivals especially the local one I’m not allowed to tag atm. But by all means all you talent buyers looking for a promising act to book, look into

4 • Wanted to save up my fading relevance for a specific stage before I left humboldt, but didn’t make the cut. Popping in for lineups with friends is better than the numbers game anyways. Sorry everyone hoping for “you know exactly what I’m talking about.” Enjoy regardless.
