Artist Statement
I am an artist who lives in the Greater New York City area.
In my art practice, I explore the boundaries between humans and nature, and the human inclination to anthropomorphize the natural work. Mythology, literature and poetry are examples of mediums through which humans have inserted themselves into nature. In nature, we can achieve things that are not otherwise possible in the world we currently live in. I explore the themes, characters and ideas present in an existing work that features this type of anthropomorphism, and use a variety of techniques and media to express my own desires to present an alternative as to what is considered possible.
