Our Story

Heart Art began as an artistic expression of a scientific brain. The original “product” was earrings made from leftover bits and pieces of Christmas ornament kits. These were given away by the hundreds. After the venture became more expensive and there was demand for production and purchase, a “business” was established to please the Departments of Revenue. This was a business/hobby/ministry that promoted creativity and relationships. It operated primarily in the Greater Greenville, NC Area. The for profit business supported the non profit ministry. This type of business is commonly referred to as a Social Entrepreneurship. We participated in a number of local ventures such as the ECU Youth Arts Festival and the Uptown Umbrella Market. We conducted private home shows, public shows and participated in several select craft shows in Eastern North Carolina. Music shows were incorporated into the art shows and there were a few exclusively musical productions.

About 2012 after the price of Sterling silver quadrupled and joy of keeping records and paying taxes waned. The earlier expression of Heart Art was mothballed and other ventures were pursued.

Now there is a re-vision underway. A concept to retain the promotion of creativity and relationships without the hassle of “business.” I am mentally exploring a “Pop Up” concept of divers artistic expressions. Think flash mob meets beatnik poetry slam.
