About the show:
Pericles takes the Prince of Tyre on a Mediterranean adventure full of riddles, betrayals…and pirates! From confident leader to yearning lover to seeker of meaning, our hero in this Shakespearean tragicomedy will be brought to life on the CSC stage by the inventive Fiasco Theater, who have previously delighted New York audiences with inspired interpretations of Cymbeline and Into the Woods. Meet the artists behind the black odyssey boat!
“As an inspiration, the set designer gave me examples of multiple paintings with buildings. While I was painting I definitely channeled in my inner teenage-self who was inspired by artists Quay Brothers who made gothic music videos for Nine Inch Nails.
Shows like this definitely move the community forward. I’ve never seen so much laughter and gasps from the audience and even some vocal comments made to the actors. It felt as though we were one with the show and it was nice to feel that rhythm again.” - Yuka Ezoe
Yuka is a Japanese American visual artist based in New York City. Her passion lies within community development projects for monumental public art. Carrying the belief that art can be a social vehicle to change our inner being and perception, Yuka works to integrate various disciplines to create art.

CSC is excited to announce our upcoming 2023-2024 season!
“What a dream it’s been to program my first season as Producing Artistic Director of CSC. I love putting wildly different works side by side and giving you the chance to see how they spark off one another, and these three productions couldn’t be more ideal to be in dialogue.
At CSC, the classical canon is always evolving. It's possible that none of these plays will be familiar to you, but that doesn't mean they don't earn that designation of being "classics." We can’t wait to introduce you to these works, or to rediscover them in new ways, at our uniquely intimate theater. I hope you’ll join me for a fantastic season ahead.”

Lance Coadie Williams is the ultimate chameleon. Artez Sabine, Alabama Slim, The Soul Siren, The Alter Ego, a Police Officer - Lance plays ‘em all, with gusto and great heart.
“In a star turn Lance Coadie Williams, matches his gift for physical comedy with a powerful depth of characterization as the mysterious, shadowlike figure The Alter Ego, speaking in a gorgeous resonant voice almost like an Oracle.”
-Sarah Downs, Front Row Center Theatre Reviewsr
"Cole as the vengeful Paw Sidin, is chilling. This is a man who could bend you to his will with his eyes alone.“
-Sarah Downs, Front Row Center Theatre Reviews
And that’s what Jimonn Cole - bends the will of those around him, and the attention of the audience, whenever he appears on stage. As the vengeful god of the sea, Paw Sidin will stop at nothing to ensure he makes the final move.
