Thank you for an exhilarating 39th season with the Greenwich Village Orchestra! On behalf of the entire orchestra, it has been our great pleasure to share music from Mozart to Morse and to create community through our shared love of orchestral music.

Meet Audrey Morse! Our season finale on May 3, Rituals and Renewals, will include Reconciliation by Audrey Morse, a New York–based composer and violinist who has been a member of the Greenwich Village Orchestra since 2010 and has served as co-concertmaster since 2014. This is our first time playing a piece by a member of the GVO! We asked her to tell us more about her background and about the piece.

Wishing a very happy birthday to GVO’s fearless Music Director, Barbara Yahr! GVO would not be the orchestra it is today without Barbara’s tireless leadership for the past 23 years. Thank you Barbara for your warmth, exuberance and expansive musicianship.

GVO's co-concertmaster Allison Dubinski announces two upcoming chamber-music events by her Brooklyn Chamber Players. She writes:

"Friday's show (Feb 20th) will feature a range of works by Brahms, Shaw, Ives, Zenamon, and more!

"On Sunday (Feb 22nd), we'll be back at M Shanghai in Williamsburg to serenade you with more Shaw, Vaughan-Williams, Turina, and some of the best soup dumplings in town."

Join us at Christ Church Cobble Hill for an evening of chamber music. We invite you to experience the joy we as artists are privileged to cultivate when we play great music in community.
