On The Way to Timbuktu A multi-media one person performance work that explores a woman's search for meaning examined through the prism of race, gender and sexuality.

ON THE WAY TO TIMBUKTU is a one-woman multi-media performance play with live music. When Dr. Selene Slater-Bernaud, “Slim”, is an African-American college professor of Shakespeare’s sonnet discovers that her husband is having an affair with hir student/ lover,all hell breaks loose. The play explores her search for meaning examined through the prism of gender, race, and identity while in the middle of a psychotic episode.
