could not stop it, cannot sure it and did not cause it. I’ve been living with Type 1 diabetes for over 25 years and no, I do not look sick and you probably didn’t even know I have it because this is what I look like when I have a chronic disease. It’s more of a lifestyle than a disease to me and anyone close to me will tell you it’s not easy but I certainly try to make it look that way. Low blood sugars, high blood sugars, a million injections, one of the most expensive medicines in the world, constant doctor appointments, and a disease that if you forget to take your medicine you only have a few days to live. So don’t forget. It’s serious but most of us accepted along time ago that this is life. That said, I rarely think about the severity or the complications. Today is diabetes awareness day so if someone you know that has diabetes woke up today tell them you love them because everyday is not guaranteed and it is a gift. And, if you have this thing...I love you.💙
