This is Cleo Gray who will play Cixi/Dr. Cong in Ms. Oriental. Cleo was a member of The Flea Theater’s resident acting company, The Bats, and co-producer of the hit late night series . The Flea: World premieres of The Place We Built by Sarah Gancher, directed by Danya Taymor, a cautionary tail by Christopher Oscar peña, Thomas Bradshaw’s JOB (dir. Benjamin Kamine; NYC premieres These Seven Sicknesses by Sean Graney and Amy Freed’s Restoration Comedy (dir. Ed Sylvanus Iskandar) as well as 50+ short plays for . Other NYC credits include Solider X by Rehana Lew Mirza, directed by Lucie Tiberghien, DONKEY PUNCH by Micheline Auger (Soho Playhouse), Youngblood’s Asking For Trouble (The Ensemble Studio Theatre).

This is Ms. Oriental’s Director Ilana Becker. Ilana has directed and developed new work at NYTW, Ars Nova, Dixon Place, The Lark, The Flea, The O’Neill Theater Center, Columbia University’s MFA Playwriting Program, NYU’s MFA Dramatic Writing Program, 54 Below, Disney/ASCAP Workshop, Pittsburgh Fringe, FringeNYC, and Samuel French OOB Festival, among others. Ilana is Artistic Director of Argument Sessions, an ongoing series of immersive events weaving SCOTUS transcripts with collaboratively-developed original material. She is a proud member of The Civilians’ R&D Group, LCT Directors Lab, DirectorsLabChicago, Fresh Ground Pepper's PlayGroup, Bastard Playground, and was a Playwrights Horizons Robert Moss Directing Fellow. Next up: Rumors at Stevens Institute of Technology.
